ConsumerReports.org recently published an outstanding article that explains why medical prices are so high in the United States and what consumers can do to help take back control of their wallets. Here at the Colorado Business Group on Health, we have been pushing for healthcare transparency, quality metrics, and better payment models since our inception in 1996. While improvements have been made, it is becoming more important than ever for individuals and business owners to increase their understanding of the issues at hand and the misrepresentations that have been promoted by a healthcare system that is often ineffective and virtually always inefficient.
